The long-awaited “B-Word” conference , has already begun and the views on Bitcoin were revealed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk and SpaceX and Jack Dorsey, founder of Twitter and Katie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, and Adam Buck, CEO of Block Stream.
During the meeting, Elon Musk revealed and confirmed many speculations and expectations about his view of Bitcoin.
He told Elon Musk that SpaceX also has bitcoin on its balance sheet along with Tesla and he himself confirmed that he holds bitcoin.
Musk also revealed that he owns Ethereum and Dogecoin along with Bitcoin in his wallet.
What Musk also revealed is that he is a huge supporter of the Bitcoin currency.
He also talked about the controversial issue of pumping and discharging, saying:
I may pump, but I won’t empty.
Talking about the digital currency “Dogecoin” and why he supports the currency, he replied:
I love dogs and memes.
Musk was also wearing a T-shirt bearing the phrase “Evolution of money,” a meme that shows Bitcoin as the ultimate evolving form of money.
Musk also stated:
We do not sell any Bitcoin.
Musk also revealed that he once suggested placing a Bitcoin node in a Starlink terminal, which would give more people access to Bitcoin. He went on to say:
One idea is to put a bitcoin node at the SpaceX Starlink terminals, so that more people will run their bitcoins this way.
When asked about Tesla’s plans to accept bitcoin as a payment method in the near future, Musk said:
Bitcoin seems to be shifting more towards renewable energy…there is a trend towards more than 50% renewable energy sources.
In that case, if proven, Tesla will likely resume accepting bitcoin.
While both “Kathy Wood” and “Jack Dorsey” are known for their defense and inclination for Bitcoin, both have stated on many occasions that they are very supportive of Bitcoin.
At the same conference, Cathy Wood stated:
Bitcoin will be more environmentally friendly than gold mining or the traditional financial system.
